Meet our Island Misfit Kings

These spectacular fans were huge supporters and contributors to our Undying Fire crowdfunding campaign, and we're glad to give them a spotlight to introduce them to you!

Yoshiaki Miyasaka

Yoshiaki Miyasaka

Yoshiaki Miyasaka is a member of The Wheel, the official Jordan Rudess fan club. He is a student at JROC, Jordan Rudess Online Conservatory. He loves listening to Celtic music (Enya, Celtic Woman, etc), Classical crossover (Sarah Brightman, Giorgia Fumanti, Emiko Shiratori, Mary-Jess, etc), and Prog Metal (Dream Theater, Circus Maximus, ANGRA). He lives in Takasaki, Japan, and has been a fan of Mercy Isle since before the release of the band's debut EP "Storm."

David Melanson

David Melanson

David Melanson, a.k.a. "Mortuai," is a lifelong resident in the region of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts he likes to call "the armpit." An application development engineer, webmaster, ERP analyst, and graphic designer by trade, he has also dabbled in multiple projects of various sorts, usually related to music. He produced and was co-remastering engineer on the four charity compilations released by the British indie label Femme Metal Records in 2008-2011, has been a music reviewer for multiple websites, was an online DJ during 2011, and has since become a strong supporter of crowdfunding musical projects - primarily metal and hard rock bands. (He also wrote a half-dozen songs for a friend's calypso band, but that's beside the point.) An avid reader and occasional writer of fantasy, sci-fi, and horror tales, he also dabbles in guitar, bass, and keyboard and makes a wide variety of ultra-premium gourmet ice cream flavors as a hobby.

Avi Cohen

Avi Cohen

Avi is a fan of metal in general, though he's managed to weasle his way into the inner-sanctum of friends with bands such as A Sound of Thunder, White Empress, The Spider Accomplice, and of course, Mercy Isle, amongst a plethora of other bands. He loves to read and loves to game. Originally from South Africa, Avi moved to Saint Paul, Minnesota to attend school. He has plans to relocate to California. He's covered in tattoos and is also a fan of cats, but then again, most metalheads are. His birthday is September 10. Apart from being a fan of metal, this sassy South African is also taking voice lessons and has posted cover songs online. You can check him out on SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/doomsdaycomedy
